Genetic Test + Test Results discussion

Service Description

This service includes the cost of your genetic test and a hour follow up Consultation to discuss your results and come up with some action points. The genetic test involves taking a buccal swab which will be sent to the lab for testing your DNA sample (the swab can be done at my practice or the test can be sent to your home). For the results you could either come in person or we could discuss it online. The purpose of the test is to see how you respond to certain nutrients and how that could impact the risk of nutrition-related chronic diseases. It is not a diagnostic of your health but an indicator of your genes and how they metabolise certain nutrients, respond to physical activity, eating habits, weight management, body composition, food intolerances (lactose/gluten). Research has shown that individuals who receive DNA-based dietary advice are more motivated to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Please allow about 25 minutes for our initial talk and about 1 hour to discuss the results
