Personal Nutrition Counselling

Nutritional approach using behaviour change

3 hr
220 British pounds
Newtown Road

Service Description

This is one of my most complete packages. This service is made up of 3 x 1h sessions. You pay for 3 sessions and get 1 at a reduced rate. You also have the option (with added extra cost) to add a genetic test. In these sessions we will address diet and lifestyle which are key pillars to great health and longevity. This is one area that Alex's feels very passionate about because we can know all the science of food but yet why it is so hard to make the changes that we want. Is it lack of willpower? Not at all. Alex does not believe that people lack willpower to get healthier. She believes that we all have circumstances that have got where we are now but which should not determine where we would like to be in the future. On top of that our bodies are very clever and the minute we try to do something different it does not like it, so reframing our own thoughts can be very helpful to get us where we want to be. In this session Alex will use motivational interviewing as well as a method called Functional Imagery Training (FIT). FIT uses mental imagery to help someone keep motivated and make changes happen. This session will also involve taking a full Nutritional Assessment in the first consultation and then the other three consultations will involve FIT and reviewing progress. What is involved in the first consultation? For who is this appointment for? This appointment is suitable for men, women and teenagers who would like to make more informed decisions about their health. This appointment is also useful for women going though their perimenopause or menopause who would like to take more control over their 'diet' and manage their symptoms in a better and more natural way (whether you have chosen to take HRT or not).
